"Yanked" by Melanie Harlow Review

Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my Hump Day’s Romance Review! (Yes, I am that immature) Last week we talked about Frenched by Melanie Harlow, and this week we are going to carry on to the second book in that series, Yanked. This is one of the only books from Melanie Harlow that can’t be considered a standalone, although all the books from Melanie have reoccurring characters. This seems a little confusing maybe, but all the characters have their own separate story and characters from other books come in as supporting characters. (My Best example is Luke Cage making an appearance on Jessica Jones. He was important to her story, but it wasn’t his story)

The start of Yanked gives us a recap of where Mia and Lucas are in their relationship since their whirlwind romance in Forked. They have a reality check. Mia goes back to Detroit, but Lucas continues to stay in Paris for the summer and then moves back to his home in New York where he teaches. So, while this is inconvenient, it is manageable with some weekend trips and hot phone sex. The real issues stem from Lucas’s fear of commitment, as in marriage. Did I mention that Mia is an event coordinator with a heavy rotation of wedding planning?

Already feeling insecure about the lack of commitment, lets add a healthy dose of ex-girlfriend, Jessica. From here, things get messy, but I will leave that for you guys to read. I recommended checking this book out if you want to read more about Lucas.

Next week we’ll move on from Mia and Lucas to Mia’s friend, Coco, in Forked. I will leave links below on where you can find the Frenched Series on Amazon. My personal recommendation is to get Amazon Unlimited where you can read all the books for just the price of the subscription.
